Glen Dransfield

Originally hailing from the southern end of the Flinders Ranges and having recently returned home after what seemed like a lifetime of devoted service to all things musical on the Gold Coast of Australia, Glen has begun forging a fresh path of original music continuing on his mission towards destination unknown, with no turning back...

Stylistically somewhere between the ‘painted leaves’ song form of Ryan Adams and the sprawling string-scapes and meandering word smithery of the likes of Nick Drake and Jose Gonzalez. Blend in a touch of the Australian surf folk and coastal roots movement of the early 2000s and we have a platform for something altogether new and exploratory. Stay tuned as the pilgrimage continues.

Comparisons so far include: Beck, Elliott Smith, Chris Isaac, Tom Petty, Peter Gabriel & Phill Collins.
